During Your Massage (07 Nov 2024):
When your massage starts keep these things in mind:
Relax...the therapist will start slowly with some soothing touches to get you ready for the massage.
During the massage if you feel uncomfortable or if the massage is too heavy or too light for you do not hesitate to say this to your therapist. She will adjust her method and touch to make you comfortable.
By the same token if the room is too cold or too hot tell the therapist and adjustments will be made.
Allow the combination of the massage, the music playing, and the comfort of the ambience to further relax you; it is not uncommon for you to be drowsy or even fall asleep.

Vagaro Pro Appointment App (10 August 2024):
We have started use of the Vagaro Appointment Application to give you the added convenience to check for day and times available to book your appointment. The booking app is on the home page of our web site. You can download the free app through your app store and enter your information and you are ready to go.
With the use of the application we have started a point system to allow you to get free massages with the accumulation of points, the longer the appointment the faster you can gain points. All of this is done automatically when you book and complete your massage. You can always check your point balance by opening your customer profile. Please note the point system is only available with body massages and is not available with foot massages.
Here is how the point system works:
30 minute body massage is worth 5 points,
45 minute body massage is worth 7 points,
60 minute body massage is worth 10 points
90 minute body massage is worth 15 points
120 minute body massage is worth 20 points
With the accumulation of 100 points you will receive a free 30 minute body massage.
With the accumulation of 200 points you will receive a free 60 minute body massage.
The points are available within the time frames for any type of body massage, whether it is a basic Swedish, Deep Tissue (Shiatsu), or Bar Deep Tissue (Ashiatsu).
If you have any questions please contact us and we'll guide you as necessary.
How to prepare for your massage. Here are some handy tips:
Take a hot shower or bath before arriving (we do not have any bathing facilities), this will help relax you before the massage. Your therapist will appreciate working on a clean body and you will enjoy the massage better as well. You will probably end up showering again to remove oils but this will help ease your muscles after the rigors of a massage, and again use hot water - not cold or cool.
For women, avoid excess makeup or body makeup, especially spray-on tan. Some makeup products are difficult to remove from the sheets. We think you look lovely the way you are!
Drink sufficient water before arriving. The massage will release toxins and by drinking water beforehand this will give your body a head start in dealing with those toxins. After the massage we will give you bottled water to help with this effort. Drink more after you arrive home.
Avoid eating a big meal just before a massage. You will be lying on your stomach for a good portion of the time and on a full tummy that will doubtlessly be uncomfortable. In addition, one would want to avoid the embarrassment of any stomach rumbling or belching which inevitably follows a big meal.
A number of our customers has asked us what type of stone do we use for our "hot rocks", the answer is BASALT. Basalt is a dark colored volcanic rock, fine grained and with excellent heat retention properties. It is easily smoothed and is ideal for massage as it is claimed to have some possible health benefits as they have large amounts of iron and magnesium. 90% of the volcanic rock on Earth is basalt, and is also found on our Moon, Venus, and Mars (ours come from Earth). Some of the benefits of hot stones are: helps relieve muscle tension and pain, reduces stress and anxiety, promotes sleep, and may help relieve painful conditions such as fibromyalgia (based on findings of a 2002 study published in the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology). Our hot stone treatment comes standard with our 45, 60, 90, and 120 minute body massages...try one today!
