During Your Massage (07 Nov 2024):

When your massage starts keep these things in mind:

Pine Island Massage Privacy Statement (07 SEPTEMBER 2024):

With the passage of the new law HB-197 which went into effect on July 1st we started with compliance with one of the new regulations, that is client information has to be documented and subsequent client visits have to be listed; this includes the date of service, length of massage, and the therapists name. Since some concern has been raised about the use of such information we have developed a privacy statement concerning the Client Intake Form, as follows:

Pine Island Massage Privacy Statement

"The State of Florida Department of Health has established a regulation requiring clients of a massage establishment to have on record a clients information including full name, address, and telephone number before service is provided [2024 Florida Statue 480.043 (14)-f].

Pine Island Massage, LLC (PIM) will NOT use this information for any type of direct marketing by email or text. PIM will market via announcements on our website or on our Facebook page. Client intake information is to be kept for 1-year and all information is held in strict confidence, however this is subject to inspection for compliance by the Florida Department of Health or the Florida Board of Massage Therapy".

As you can see the reason for the intake form is compliance with the new law and the information will not to be used for any type of marketing purposes. Every night the notebook with the client intake sheets are locked away.

NOTE: WE HAVE DISCONTINUED THE POINT SYSTEM FOR FREE MASSAGES

How to prepare for your massage. Here are some handy tips:

A number of our customers has asked us what type of stone do we use for our "hot rocks", the answer is BASALT. Basalt is a dark colored volcanic rock, fine grained and with excellent heat retention properties. It is easily smoothed and is ideal for massage as it is claimed to have some possible health benefits as they have large amounts of iron and magnesium. 90% of the volcanic rock on Earth is basalt, and is also found on our Moon, Venus, and Mars (ours come from Earth). Some of the benefits of hot stones are: helps relieve muscle tension and pain, reduces stress and anxiety, promotes sleep, and may help relieve painful conditions such as fibromyalgia (based on findings of a 2002 study published in the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology). Our hot stone treatment comes standard with our 45, 60, 90, and 120 minute body massages...try one today!
